WHAT IS BARISTA INNOVATION CHALLENGE 2025?
In 2025, BIC returns with fresh energy, inviting talented baristas, home brewers, and coffee professionals to showcase their craft. It’s a chance to share ideas, push boundaries, and inspire the coffee community across Indonesia to create new and exciting coffee experiences.
With the theme “The Art of Conscious Sips”, BIC 2025 highlights the importance of making coffee with care—not just focusing on taste, but also on how it fits into a more mindful and meaningful lifestyle. This year, we aim to explore how coffee can do more than energize but how it can bring people together, support well-being, and become a thoughtful part of everyday life

Competition
Registration
Register and choose your preferred regional round through our official website at baristainnovationchallenge.com. The registration fee is Rp375,000, and each participant will receive a starter pack that includes:
500g of coffee beans
2 DRiPP products (syrup, powder, or fruit pulp – mandatory)
Participants are required to use the designated DRiPP products as the main ingredients during the competition.
Qualification (Preliminary)
Participants are required to create one innovative coffee-based beverage, complete with a recipe, a preparation video, and a story that reflects this year’s BIC theme.
From each region, 20 selected participants will be chosen to represent their region in the next stage — the Quarterfinal Round.
Quarterfinal
The 20 selected participants from each region will compete and present their beverages live in front of the judges. Three top-scoring participants from each region will be crowned regional winners, while six participants with the highest overall scores across all regions will advance to the National Grand Final.
Grand Final Nasional
In the grand final (national phase), six top-scoring participants from all regions will compete in Jakarta through two challenge rounds.
The two best performers from this stage will move forward to represent Indonesia in the grand final (international phase), where they will compete against finalists from across Asia.
Grand Final SEA
The ten best participants from five countries will compete the following day, presenting a new beverage concept through two challenge rounds. The top performer among all finalists will earn the title of The Next Champion of Barista Innovation Challenge 2025.
